This year is the 10th World Book Day.
There are a number of events throughout the country - lots of schools and nurseries are focussing on books for the day and in some cases are giving vouchers to the children to get a free (or discounted) book in a local book store.
Some bookshops and libraries are having special reading sessions and many of the big bookstores have great deals on books, especially children's ones, so keep an eye out.
Why not try to have a day without television - just read books instead.
