This site gives information on organised upcoming events as well as local exercise clubs of various kinds. What i dont think it points out is that Kelvingrove park has a popular skatepark, tennis courts (where rackets and balls are provided free) and bowling greens (great for all ages and less taxing). All of these are free all day during the summer weeks and weekends. Tennis courts and bowling can be booked in advance, which is advisable if your wanting to go on a weekend because they are so busy at this time. otherwise its run on a first come first serve basis.
