It seems that there are some nice green measures to help Londoners save money by being eco-friendly. From This Is Local London, news of the Climate Change Action Plan which outlines some interesting new measures for Londoners to save money, and for London to cut CO2 emissions. Some of them are fluff, but these two look very welcome:
* Heavily subsidised home insulation could save each London household £300 a year in power bills.
* London's entire fleet of 8,000 buses will be replaced by diesel-electric hybrid vehicles.
Home insulation really is a 'quick win' and subsidised home insulation is music to my ears. I just hope they don't strike a bum note and make a point of only subsidising the greenest home insulation - recycled newspaper!
