Within the house, we are using a crazy number of chemicals every day. There are the ones that we use to make ourselves "clean" and to look good, then there are the ones that we use to "clean" our clothes and homes.

Here are two really useful articles about home made cleaners and bought cleaners which are worth a read.

I've got one friend who wont use anything but vinegar and bicarb of soda for her cleaner, and I have to admit that vinegar does get rid of the limescale (key where we are as the water is really hard) although it took ages to get the taste out of the kettle.

Has anyone any other recommendations?
