Once again, US services like post codes and now electric usage are free and open with their data. Contrast this with the UK where post codes are owned expensive to 'own' and utilities services would never dream of opening up an API to their data like this.
Anyway, if you're in the US and have a ConEd account login, you can get a nice grap of your usage - very educational.
