How can we make our towns, cities and villages bag free?? What would be the first steps in achieving this? I want to try and make Bounemouth and even Dorset a plastic bag free county, but how???

I know that Brighton have been working towards being carrier bag free for quite some time.

I've quickly tracked down a few articles that may help in at least providing some contacts for you..

in The Argus, their local paper

    An industry response...

    an update

The official site (this also provides some links about Modbury's success.

No doubt you have some of these links already, but hopefully there is something of use. Good luck to you in your mission - feel free to keep ecolocal updated with your progress. It would be good to see how things are going.
