hello i was wondering how composting should be in my backyard. lately from my compost pile i have been smelling a funky smell lol and i was wondering if the smell is supposed to be there or not. I have put coffe grounds, lettece, fruits, and some of my meat into my recylcing bin where my compost pile and worms are. there is a sourish kind of smell and i was wondering if i should just throw out the pile or is it fermenting or somethng lol

composting works faster if you add shredded newspaper in layers between the other degradable matter - never put meat or dairy products in, the compost will not only smell foul, it will attract vermin!
