I think this is quite appropriate considering the discussions we've been having about the Americans in relation to car usage and petrol prices.
It's actually saying that driving a small car is cool now ..... excellent! Long may the trend continue. The other interesting thing is that all of the cars that are mentioned have been around in the UK for a long time and classed as typical second cars / kids cars (or in our case, only car!) in a household.

I have heard this but find it really hard to believe that most American swill buy small cars. There's always hope of course!
