OK, should this really happen?
Yes, parents should know if their children are at risk of long term health problems but in how many cases will the parents of these children actually do anything about it? Surely parents are aware of their child's weight and, if they are going to do anything about it, will do so before schools tell them
And will schools tell parents if the children are underweight? Reports now say that anorexia is evident in children as young as ten... surely parents need to be aware of this as well.
Will it lead to more children being on diets and developing food fads? I certainly hope not. It's all about eating healthily and eating "junk" in moderation.... don't encourage extremism by saying kids need to be on diets. I'm not sure if I'm pro this or not.... too many potential issues and will it have any real effect?
What does anyone else think?

any kid who's overweight gets abused enough in school... all this is going to do is make them feel more selfconscious and drop their self-esteem further!
