Full Moon offers Full Monty Organic, Free Range and locally sourced Christmas menu
The Full Moon Backpacker’s Hotel and Bar (www.fullmoonbristol.co.uk) continues its year round commitment to serve the best combination of locally sourced, organic and free range food, with a Christmas menu created from all three sources. The menu, which runs from December 5th to December 31st, offers a range of traditional and modern cuisine, highlighting the freshness and superior taste of locally sourced organic and free range food.
Starters run from soup of the day with crusty bread and butter through Organic Oatcakes with Relish to a Warm Balsmic Mushroom Salad to the more traditional Smoke Salmon with Cream Cheese.
Traditionalists will enjoy the Roast Turkey Breast with rich Red Wine Gravy, Homemade stuffing and ‘Pigs in Blankets’ for the main yuletide course. Vegetarians are well catered for with a seasonal Cranberry Orange and Hazelnut Wellington or Pearl Barley Risotto with crumbly Stilton, Sweet Potato Crisps and crushed walnuts.
The main courses are rounded off with ‘Canadian Steak,’ locally sourced and butchered beef marinated in a Maple Syrup sauce. For fish lovers there is Smoked Haddock served with Organic Cream, Wholegrain Mustard Sauce and Lemon and Parsley Mash. All of the main courses are served with Roast Potatoes and a medley of seasonal vegetables.
Christmas demands a pudding blowout at the end of the meal and the Full Moon offers the traditional Christmas Pudding with Homemade Brandy Butter and Organic Cream, alongside Bread and Butter Pudding, Fig and Almond Tart with Crème Fraiche or Chocolate and Blackcurrant Roulade with Crew de Cassis syrup and thick cream.
“By using local free range and organic suppliers we obtain the best and freshest food for the Christmas season, allowing us to offer the best possible price (three courses for £15.95) as well as reducing our carbon footprint,” stated Full Moon’s Director JJ, “we think that makes for a Christmas feast that appeals the conscience as well as the taste buds.”

The Full Moon is now taking bookings for Christmas and will add to the seasonal pleasure with a complimentary bottle of wine to tables over four diners ordering the three course meal. The Full Moon is located just one minute from Bristol City Bus Station 1 North Street Stokes Croft BS1 3PR. Tel 004 (0)117 9245 007. Email info@fullmoonbristol.co.uk
