The Dow Live Earth Run for Water London will take place in Victoria Park on April 18th 2010 at 10am. Entrants will be rewarded with a fantastic free live concert featuring a world renowned artist after the run, and there will also be Water Villages with activities to help raise awareness of the world’s water crisis. So get signed up and get those running shoes on and be part of this phenomenon that will take place on the 18th April 2010!
The Dow Live Earth Run for Water is the largest solutions-based initiative in history aimed at solving the world's water crisis. Taking place globally on April 18, 2010, the Dow Live Earth Run for Water will consist of a series of 6km runs/walks (the average distance many women and children walk everyday to secure water) occurring over the course of 24 hours.
The Dow Live Earth Run for Water is a globally-unified day of commitment and awareness that will involve thousands of runners, celebrities, and most importantly, ordinary people who want to make a difference throughout the world.
All donations raised by the Dow Live Earth Run for Water will fund sustainable water programmes and support a global network of NGO partners. Pump Aid, an international water and sanitation charity, has been selected as the NGO in the UK.
Pre-registration is essential as you won't be able to register on the day. Running or walking places are available now at a cost of £18 with ‘Water Village’ only places (including concert) at the reduced price of just £12.
