Does anyone know where you can purchase Eco friendly diapers...? I know the one's I currently use does not help the environment. Reply to this discussion / Report this discussion

We use cloth diapers. On occasion we use disposables, for example when we are on vacation or away from home for a long time. The disposables we use are from a company called Tendercare. They are non chlorine bleached.
As Jane posted, there is some great info on the nappies the dilemma. I posted there also the other day. :)

In the United States there are a few companies that put out "friendlier" disposables. Check out Seventh Generation, Nature Boy & Girl and TenderCare Plus. They're not perfect but a little better than the Pampers option.

I have to agree that disposables are never going to be a perfect option, but at least there are better alternatives such as all of those listed above. Unfortunately although many say they diodegrade, this wont happen in landfill because they are too tightly compressed... they'll decompose in the home composter though! (Not sure I can quite cope with that prospect though, and I had a nappy bucket around for 2 years)
