Casual Games Now And Beyond

December 14th, 2006, By Duncan Gough

GameTunnel is running their ‘Game of the year’ articles and the Casual Game Of The Year 2006 list is pretty interesting. Whilst there are clones in the list, the list itself contains some great games like Srubbles and Tube Twist.

Looking forward, to 2007, it seems that Three Rings are building a “platform for building multiplayer online games in Flash and Java that operate as part of a larger virtual world where people do things like talk about their cats, decorate their virtual living room, and most importantly, play games. With an aim toward fostering user creativity, we’re opening up all of the tools for creating the world and the games in it.”

They’re presenting this at ETech 2007, along with a number of great presentations.
