digg, Travian
May 11th, 2006, By Duncan Gough
At last, I’ve found a graph that puts Travian above the mighty digg, using the new Google Trends tool (the red represents travian, the blue is digg).
What I find most intriguing is the regional breakdown that shows how the majority of searches for travian come from Europe. Travian is a very globalised website, it’s clearly been built with internationalisation in mind from the very start, and it’s paying off. Imagine what digg could do with digg.es, digg.at, digg.de, digg.co.uk. Truly demographic, localised news. They could even extract digg.com to show the most dugg stories throughout each local site and move all of the US specific news onto digg.us.
Not for the first time, it’s good to see an online game show a Web 2.0 ’site how it’s done.
