We've not commented on this one yet, but I think it's really important to mention.
Tesco are starting a major campaign to reduce the number of carrier bags that people use by giving "green" club card points for people who don't use new carrier bags. The advertising campaign has various personalities using all sorts of vessels to carry items.... all to make people think twice about how easy it is to reduce plastic bag usage.
It's a good move on their behalf - apparently only 1 in 200 of the 17bn carriers used a year is recycled (that's about 1 per person!) which is appalling.
Good luck to Tesco and I hope they achieve their targets and go on to beat them (this and Ikea charging for bags.. it's all a step in the right direction)
