According to the BBC, the electric car died because "the typical American consumer fears being made to drive 'small cars and live in houses that are cold - they basically fear they are going to have to live like Europeans'".

Really? Marketing can sell anything these days. Just drop a celebrity in one, or a reality tv contestant, or a famous sportsman/woman.

Electric cars, if they're dead, died because no-one tried hard enough.
