My son is allergic to dairy, ruling out conventional milk and cheese from his diet. It was a shock the first time he reacted to milk as it's such a naturally occuring thing, but we soon learnt to give him soya milk. Now that's he's growing up, though, I'm a bit concerned that he's not getting enough calcium in his diet. Thankfully, with a bit of help from Google, I found this page on the Veggie society website:

There seem to be a good number of alternative sources of calcium, including tofu, brown bread, baked beans and chick peas - all of which we have in the house all the time.
