It's an American study, but I would imagine that it's relatively applicable to UK farmers too:
"It looks like Minnesota grain farmers could make more money by switching to organic grain crops. That's the conclusion of a four-year study being announced today at the American Agricultural Economics Association's annual meeting in Long Beach, Calif."

Now if that doesn't help more farmers go organic, what will? It would be brilliant if it did yield more profits for them, therefore encourage more to make the switch. Things will be easier to buy!!!
