When I used to live in Sidcup the freight trains that passed through the town at night were infamous for what they supposedly carried. Thanks to Greenpeace, though, you can now take a peek at a map and find out what's passing through your town.

And here's a timetable of those nuclear waste transports, along with an explanation of why they've decided to publish it:

"Hundreds of thousands of us are unwittingly exposed to the dangers of nuclear waste. Every week, trains carrying nuclear waste trundle along the UK's outdated rail network through our villages, towns and cities - often at peak times and only metres away from ordinary passenger trains."

Scary stuff, is that why they've done it?
