I remember when the US first pulled out of the Kyoto agreement a few years back, it was the first time I'd heard them accused of isolationist tactics. Kytoto seemed to disappear from the news for a while, but recently I've heard this 'Kyoto wasn't worth it anyway' kind of argument popping up in a few places.

I'm not sure I agree with it. Of course a political agreement between the worlds' most powerful countries is going to be subject to a degree of 'interpretation' but to say it's nothing but hot air is nothing but gulity spin.
