This is an interesting article - Tesco are trying to green their image slightly by erecting wind turbines to power their St Rollox store in Glasgow, as well as a flagship environmental store near Wick.

Both are good news, but as campaigns such as Friends of the Earth's Shop local first points out, these large supermarkets are killing off local business and encouraging the long distance transport of more and more goods.
