Children’s Book Week is an annual celebration of reading for pleasure for children of primary school age.

Children’s Book Week 2010 will take place from 4-10 October. This year's theme is books around the world.

I'm all for anything that encourages people of all ages to read and of course primary school is the best time to start. Schools normally receive a token for each child to either purchase a special book for the week or to put towards one of their choice. Make sure you use the voucher and read the book with your child. Get them into the habit of reading at a young age and it's with them for life.
