Went to see Sarah Mclachlan at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. It was very middle class and very 'sit down & clap'. Things were made worse due to the fact that Sarah had decided to 'rock' the audience'. Short of running on stage shouting "HELLO CAMBRIDGE!", it was a pretty alienating affair.

This was the first gig my wife and I went to after my son was born. We worried the whole way there and rushed back the minute the gig finished. We nearly ran over the guitarist in the car park. I'm guessing the band were 'dismissed' in that fashion each night (get off stage, head to the tour bus). As we left I saw a poster for Rufus Wainwright and had it not been a bit of a disastrous night, I would have booked tickets for that too.
