Tags: Seth Lakeman The Borderline
This was a great gig - I've often heard of the Borderline club, but had never got there (or even knew where it was) until this gig.
The support band was Megson (from the North East, so it was one of the classic situations where they were telling stories about the songs and I was one of the few who knew what they were talking about), who were worth seeing in their own right. Really good vocals.
Seth Lakeman - well, he knows he's good! Great musicianship (I specifically remember him playing the fiddle) and vocals.
A really informal atmosphere in there, but everyone respected the musicians - they were good enough to listen to!
