I'd raved about Allison Moorer to my friends for at least a year. I'd seen her a year or so before and she was excellent. Dingwalls is a great venue for such a small band and her music at the time was also a great match - country and blues in a very pub/club atmosphere.

This time around she came without a drummer and played a largely acoustic, piano driven set. The album from the time, "Miss Fortune", really touches on that nexus of country, blues and soul and she spent a large proportion of her time directing the songs with a strong, professional and beautiful vocal performance.

I've been before, I went again and I'd go another time too. Full marks.
